Update 4.3.1 makes the Legendary Phoenix Chick a permanent companion unlock at 1,000 progress — higher Curse levels earn it faster — fixes Buckler rarity colors, and keeps owned Auto Mode access reliable after the purchase-system update.

Update 4.3.1 makes the game’s rarest companion a permanent reward and fixes two rough edges.

Permanent Phoenix unlock

The Companion roster has a new milestone: Phoenix Chick, the only findable Legendary companion (it evolves into the Phoenix at Lv.50), can now be unlocked permanently. Every Phoenix Chick you find during a run adds to your unlock progress, and the amount depends on your active Curse level — a find on Curse 10 is worth ten times as much as a find on Curse 1:

  • Progress needed: 1,000
  • Progress per find: equal to your Curse level, up to +10 at Curse 10 or higher
  • Where to see it: the Companion panel shows your current Unlock: X/1000 progress under the Phoenix Chick card

Once you hit 1,000, the Phoenix Chick joins every new run automatically — no more relying on luck to recruit it. The same permanent-unlock system already covers the Fairy Helper (100), Mini Dragon (250) and Shadow Cat (500); the Phoenix is simply the top tier of that ladder.

Buckler rarity colors

Bucklers shared the generic gray shield icon regardless of rarity. They now inherit their item’s rarity color like all other gear — a Legendary Buckler finally looks Legendary in the inventory.

Purchase system

Under the hood, the in-app purchase system moved to a new billing library.
