What do the different dungeon paths mean?
Balanced gives you the normal mix of everything. Spoils brings more treasure chests and fewer enemies. Sanctuary brings more shrines and even fewer enemies. Descent gives you a higher chance of quickly finding the door to the next room.

What each path means
From Floor 2 onward, you choose a path at the start of each floor. Your choice changes the mix of exploration events for that floor.
| Path | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Balanced | The normal mix of everything. |
| Spoils | More treasure chests and fewer enemies. |
| Sanctuary | More shrines and even fewer enemies. |
| Descent | A higher chance of quickly finding the door to the next room. |
Paths change the chances of encounters, so a particular event is never guaranteed by your path choice.
